Full Time Maintenance Worker Position

Work involves the performance of heavy manual duties related to street construction, water/sewer installation/repair, maintenance, grounds keeping and may be routine and repetitive in nature.  Work also involves the use of some acquired skills and some manipulative skills.   Apply at the Fries Town Hall, P.O. Part—Time Water Treatment Plant Operator

Performs general operation and maintenance of water treatment plant.  Makes operational checks on equipment and performs tasks to correct problems.  Collect samples; make process changes; request chemical supplies; determines chemical adjustments necessary for efficient and economical treatment; assists with/ performs equipment maintenance. Flexible Hours and Competitive Pay. Requires a Minimum of Class III Water Operators License.  Apply with letter of interest and resume to Town of Fries, P.O. A  LIMIT OF NO MORE THAN 10 (TEN) ITEMS MAY BE PLACED OUT PER HOUSEHOLD FOR COLLECTION. (WHITE GOODS SUCH AS APPLIANCES, FURNITURE, MATTRESSES, COUCHES (ETC) 
IN ADDITION TO ABOVE ITEMS CUSTOMERS MAY PUT OUT UP TO 10 (TEN) TIRES (AUTOMOBILE TIRES ONLY – ABSOLUTELY NO TRACTOR ETC.) FOR COLLECTION PER HOUSEHOLD (TIRES MUST BE OFF RIMS) 

  • Electronic Recycling will be accepted at the Grayson County Public Works Department at 1216 N. Independence, Ave Independence, VA on Friday and Saturday from 10 AM to 2 PM.

ITEMS NOT ACCEPTABLE FOR COLLECTION ARE: HAZARDOUS MATERIALS,  LAND CLEARING DEBRIS, OLD FENCE POST, WIRE FENCING, SATELLITE DISHES, WOOD, ANY TYPE OF BUILDING MATERIALS SUCH AS; ROOFING SHINGLES, VINYL SIDING, PLYWOOD, SHEETROCK ETC.

The proceeds from your purchase of the DVDs will go toward the repair and renovation of this 100 year old Recreation Building.  It was built by the owner of Washington Mills to meet the recreational and civic needs of their employees and their families everything under one roof.  This MAJESTIC  building houses the Historic Theater, Gym, Duck Pin Bowling, Library, Dining Room with Kitchen, Space for Offices and Swimming Pool.
